Discover how examples create a pattern
The child becomes the “AI trainer” and teaches an adult to sort objects without stating the hidden rule.
- Choose 12 safe objects, such as blocks, spoons, toy animals, or cards.
- The child secretly selects a rule: color, size, material, or purpose.
- Place four examples into Group A and four into Group B.
- The adult predicts where each remaining object belongs and explains the pattern inferred from the examples.
- Add one tricky object that could fit both groups. Discuss why the labels are ambiguous.
